Distorted Priorities covers a wide range of musical styles, enough so as not to define them under any one category, except Rock Music. Their music is heavily influenced by classic rock and progressive music, with overtones from classical to jazz, and country to metal.

Update 4/2011 from Brian Moritz:

Peace, and best wishes,

I've been working with Steve Morse and producer Peter Collin's recently on the unnamed band featuring Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, Dave LaRue and Casey McPherson helping out with engineering and helping Steve to track his parts, this disk is mind-blowing, and one of the coolest things I've heard in 20 years! I was speechless when I heard it, it wasn't what I was expecting and I'll leave it at that ;)

I've been working on R&D with Christoph Kemper and his amazing Profiling amplifier modeler which I believe will completely change the world of studio guitar work and amps in general. Christoph is a genius, period. His invention will do for the amplifier what the Les Paul did for electric guitar.

Just finishing up the my parts on new Mecca II disk with Joe Vana, it's been a blast, Joe's been going flat out night and day for the better part of two years finishing this up, and it's been a great experience and helped us lay the groundwork with the "team" for our future efforts in several different ways including production work, and soundtracks. One thing is for sure, we're working really hard constantly and consistantly!

Joe Vana and I co-wrote a 7 songs for a top selling 80-90's band's upcoming CD. No date of completion has been scheduled yet, nor confirmation of what's being definately used, but I'd heard it's all of the material and once confirmed I will discuss the details.

Been working on a new CD with the band Tripolar, with Joey Vana producing and engineering (Joe's son who's also engineering on Mecca II).

Sorry the Distored Priorities disk has been a little slow progressing from the outside world point of view, but we've been working nearly daily non-stop since last December on it, and hope to have it released by the Fall of 2011. It's a very difficult disk to explain, as it's art and it gets done as it gets done and there is no rushing something that needs to be finished, not merely completed. It's a VERY technically demanding disk for me to finish as both the keyboardist and guitarist, Dave, Rod and Mark are now done, and it's me finishing up my end, then time for Joe to finish up his along with Tom Kro (Balance 1) sharing a portion of the lead vocals, and we'll be mixing shortly afterwards. It's easily been the hardest challenge of my life as a musician, engineer, and producer, not to mention a human being, but I am very proud of it, and I think it will be something others will enjoy listening too and getting in deep with it. It's all for you,
thank you for your support and patience!

Peace, and best wishes,

- Brian Moritz
